Shirley Ann Simms Gabbert, 71, of Lewisburg, West Virginia, passed away Monday, January 6, 2025.

Shirley was born November 20, 1953, at Meadow Bridge, the daughter of the late Noah Bud and Gladys Tincher Simms.

Shirley was a Supervisory Aide at Ronceverte Elementary.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Robert Gabbert; sister, Wanda Quick and her husband, Ronnie; brothers, Lester Simms and her infant brother, David Simms.

Survivors include her daughters, Ruth Ann Rogers and husband, Chris of Edmonton, AB, Canada, and Randi Lynn Gabbert and husband, David of Bluefield, WV; son, Kenneth Robert Gabbert II and Tessa Hope of Caldwell; grandchildren, Amelia Jane Marie Rogers and Abigail Elizabeth Ann Rogers; sisters, Connie Scott and husband, John of Lewisburg, Joann Hicks and husband, Gary of Ronceverte and Linda Smith of Lewisburg; brother, Gary Simms and wife, Loretta of Lewisburg and sister-in-law, Saundra Simms.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 19, 2025, at the Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg with Pastor Ron Miller officiating. Burial will follow at the Henning Church of God Cemetery.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.
