White Sulphur Springs Resident, Master Carpenter, Dies At Age 69

Alfred Thornton Braden, Jr., 69, of White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia, passed away on November 14, 2024 at CAMC Greenbrier Valley Medical Center.

Alfred was born March 12, 1955 in White Sulphur Springs, the son of the late Alfred T. and Ruth Waid Braden, Sr.

He had a love for the outdoors, enjoyed hunting and fishing. Alfred enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He mastered in carpentry and enjoyed woodwork, was a genius in mathematics.

Other than his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Heather Braden.

Those left to cherish his memory are his ex-spouse, Cindy Braden, mother to his children of Hendersonville, NC; son, Christopher Uriah Braden of Charlotte, NC; granddaughter, Maya Elizabeth Braden; brother, Edward F. Braden (Rebecca Lynn) of Gap Mills, WV; nieces and nephew, Melody Braden, Mindy Edmond (Tyler) and Ezra Braden.

Alfreds wishes were to be cremated with a private family ceremony at a later date.

The Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
