Obituary for Helen Mae (Webb) McCune Helen Mae (Webb) McCune
Millboro Resident Was Westminster Presbyterian Church Member

Helen Mae (Webb) McCune, 87, of Millboro, Virginia, passed away Monday, May 1, 2023 at her home.

She was born January 14, 1936 in Bath County, a daughter of the late Harris Preston and Millie Delphie (Marcum) Webb.

A Christian, who loved her Lord fiercely, Helen was an active member of Westminster Presbyterian Church.

She spent her days painting, crocheting, working crossword puzzles, planting flowers, listening to music and playing guitar. Helen always enjoyed writing letters to the editor at The Recorder. Above all, she enjoyed cookouts having all her family in one place.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence; son, Keith; brother, Preston "Buddy" Webb and sister, Rhoda Webb.

She is survived by five sons, Kevin and wife, Karen of Millboro, Carl and wife, Kathy of Hot Springs, Cleveland and wife, Lorraine, Anthony and wife, Rita and Tyler and wife, Lucy, all of Millboro; grandchildren, Kimberly Bryan and husband, Jamie, Martin McCune, Allison McCune, Malorie Oakley, Hunter Brown and Matthew McCune; sisters, Janet Williams of Clifton Forge and Greta McCune and husband, Willie of Staunton; three great-grandchildren, James Bryan V, Jackson Bryan and Preston Neutelings; as well as her special friend, Barbara Keyser.

A celebration of life will be held 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at Westminster Chapel Church with pastor Punker Robertson officiating. Burial will follow in Warm Springs Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Tom Ady, Tommy Ady, Jamie Bryan, Hunter Brown, Jamie Marcum, Martin McCune and Matthew McCune.

The family will receive friends one hour prior at the church.
