Brian Scott Nicely, age 59, of 150 Griffith Road, Clifton Forge, Virginia died Thursday, January 13, 2022 at his residence.

Brian was born August 6, 1962 in Alleghany County, Virginia to the late Clinton Wayne and Kathleen Jeanette Fore Nicely.

He was a Pulp Mill Operator for WestRock of Covington, enjoyed hiking, and loved his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Tanner Nicely, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He is survived by a son, Trevor VanNess; a sister, Susan Wilhelm and husband, Keith; a brother, Darrin Nicely; a step son, Anthony Delonte Eggleston; sisters-in-law, Catherine VanNess, Becky Dean, and Dolly VanNess; three aunts; nieces and nephews, including special niece, Melinda Baird and husband, Bruce and great nephew, Isaac Baird; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; a special friend, George Broughman; and his dog, Chester.

In keeping with his family's wishes, his body has been cremated. There will be a memorial service held at a later date.
