Friday Covington Shooting Incident Under Investigation...   Covington, VA (Nov. 10, 2023) - The Alleghany Journal just received the following communication from the Covington Police Department: "On November 10, 2023 at approximately 12:25 AM, the Covington Division of Police responded to the 300 Blk. of E. Prospect Street for a several complaints of gun shots heard in the area. Upon the arrival of the responding Officers, a male victim was discovered with multiple gunshot wounds. Covington Emergency Medical Service arrived shortly after Law Enforcement and provided treatment to the victim for his injuries. After the victim was stabilized, he was transported to the Alleghany Lewis Gale Regional Hospital for further treatment. At this time, a suspect has been identified by Law Enforcement and has been placed into custody for questioning. Currently this is an ongoing investigation, and no further information will be provided at this time.
