Yancey Addresses 40 At CF Community Gathering

Clifton Forge, VA (June 16, 2022) - Clifton Forge, VA (June 16, 2022) - Cardinal News Exec. Editor, Dwayne Yancey, addressed a "community gathering" of about forty at the Masonic Theatre Underground this evening.
His approximately 30 minute long talk was supplemented by questions from the audience - mainly dealing with how his operation worked.
Cardinal News does not accept advertising, but is seeking grants and relies solely on reading and other donations.
The operation began with about $350,000 in corporate funding from places like Carilion Clinic and Dominion Energy, foundations and more - and Yancey noted that his operation has grown from about 30 donors to more than 1,300 in less than a year. The firm's website says: "We are a 501c3 tax-exempt nonprofit built on the public broadcasting model and rely solely on donations and grants from individuals, corporations and foundations."
He noted that he hoped the firm's reporter total would be substantially increased in less than a year.
