RDS Presentation Made At Covington City Council (8_4_20)

Covington, VA (Aug. 8, 2020) - Joe Benedetto, joined by Lauren Cutlip and Billy Basham of RDS of Virginia, LLC, presented recycling options for the City of Covington on August 4th, 2020 at the City Council Work Session. The options include placing drop off containers for pick up at two locations.

RDS currently provides similar services for the neighboring town of Clifton Forge.

The city of Covington has the opportunity to obtain the same type of service under the same cost structure as Clifton Forge.

RDS has been recycling in the Roanoke Valley since 2010 and provides service to many surrounding communities like the City of Roanoke and Montgomery Regional Solid Waste Association (MRSWA).

RDS has a state-of-the-art recycling facility in Roanoke, Virginia that receives household recyclables such as mixed paper, aluminum and tin cans, plastic, and cardboard.

RDS has a total of three permitted Material Recovery Facilities (MRFs) and currently provides recycling services to more than 100,000 Virginia residents. For more information, visit the company website at rds-virginia.com.
