Chamber & EDC Partner to Create Resource Website   Covington, VA (March 25, 2020) - With the current regulations placed on local businesses and question marks for many residents on what is available in the community, the Alleghany Highlands Chamber of Commerce & Tourism has collaborated with the Alleghany Highlands Economic Development Corporation to offer a local informational website with resources regarding the impact of the COVID-19 Virus. The website created by COV Designs, is accessible by visiting the Chamber or EDC websites – www.ahchamber.com or www.ahedc.com or directly with the link: ahchamber.com/covid-19-resources/      The website includes a substantial amount of helpful information and links such as local business resources, how to contact organizations that are collecting supplies for local residents in need, tips & things to do during this time, spreadsheets of local businesses that are still open and serving the public, statewide initiatives and much more. One item specifically that the Chamber and EDC want you to know about is a Local Business Impact Survey. It will be the first in a series of surveys distributed to the business community and can be found under “Business Resources” on the website or directly with this link: www.surveymonkey.com/r/73FSRYL. The survey is meant for local businesses and non-profits to complete in an attempt to provide local and state elected officials with the information they need to identify the top needs of our business community. Responses are completely confidential and we encourage each business to only take the survey once. The COVID-19 Virus has severely reshaped The Alleghany Highlands business landscape.
