Sally Putnam Recognized With Lifetime Achievement Of Volunteerism Award
CF Main Street Makes Presentation Feb. 11, 2020

 
Low Moor, VA (Feb. 11, 2020) - Congratulations to Sally Putnam, Clifton Forge Main Street's 2019 Lifelong Achievement of Volunteerism Award winner.

Sally was employed for 59 years at Alleghany Lewis Gale (C&O Hospital, Emmett Memorial Hospital and Alleghany Regional) Hospital.

She was the first award recipient of HCA for "A Tribute To Improving Lifes of Others."

Sally has served on the Community Services Board for 19 years, the Clifton Forge Library Board, Clifton Forge School of the Arts and was a volunteer for the Kriskringle Markt, has been a Masonic Theatre volunteer and the First Citizens Band Board for the Clifton Forge branch.

She is a member of the Clifton Forge Woman's Club and served on the Home Tours Committee. Sally is a member of the Central United Methodist Church and has served on several committees with the church, including the pastor's parish committee.

She served on the Ministerial Association for Alleghany Regional Hospital Lewis Gale and was a member of the arts center. Sally promoted the American Cancer Walk for Life and the Community Health Fair. She is a member of the Daughters of Republic (DAR), League of Older Americans and the Red Hat Society.

She is a graduate of Clifton Forge High School and Mary Baldwin College, where she received a BA in Sociology and Social Work. She received her master in counseling from Virginia Tech.
