WestRock Supports Alleghany Highlands Chamber Of Commerce Events   Covington, VA (March 25, 2019) - The Covington mill recently presented a check to the Alleghany Highlands Chamber of Commerce in support of their 2019 outdoor events. Several events are planned. The Jackson River Scenic Trail Full Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K, and 5k race will take place on June 22. The full marathon is certified as a Boston Marathon qualifying race. On July 20, the Grand Fondo cycling event is scheduled. And, on August 3, the One Mile Open Water Swim will be held at Lake Moomaw. These events are well attended and draw many visitors and participants from outside our area, and state, to the Highlands. Please make plans to volunteer to help or attend.
