'Rhythm Of the Dance' Set Monday, March 18 Here

 
Clifton Forge, VA (March 11, 2019) - The Alleghany Highlands Arts Council presents The National Dance Company of Ireland, performing “Rhythm of the Dance” on Monday, March 18 at The Historic Masonic Theatre in Clifton Forge. Curtain time is 7:00 PM.

“Rhythm of the Dance, is a magnificent, Irish extravaganza melding songs, music, and dance. It's a perfect family outing on the day after St. Patrick's Day. The show features twenty dancers, a traditional Irish band, and the incredible voices of Young Irish Tenors. Internationally rated as one of the most popular and successful Irish Step Dance shows on tour, critics, audiences, and millions of fans around the world, have hailed the live stage show as a must see!

In its 16th year touring, the show has been performed on stages in over 50 countries, including Australia, France, Thailand, and Egypt. Audiences have witnessed the unique blending of ancient Irish history with traditional dancing intertwined with Irish favorites, like Danny Boy and Star of County Down. By the end of the 90 minute performance the audience will receive an authentic taste of the Emerald Isle.

WestRock is the show’s corporate sponsor and the group’s residency in our community is underwritten by the Alleghany Foundation. Other funding is provided by the Virginia Commission for the Arts, the National Endowment for the Arts, the City of Covington, and Alleghany County.
