Christmas Concert by The Salvation Army Band Dec. 16 Local Brass Band Brings Music of the Season to Covington   Covington, VA (December 12, 2018) - The Brass Band of The Salvation Army, Covington presents a concert of Christmas music at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 16. Open to the public and held in the chapel of the corps building, 115 S. Lexington Avenue, the free concert combines contemporary and traditional carols arranged by Salvation Army composers. The concert will be followed by a reception. The Covington Salvation Army Brass Band is comprised of twelve area musicians ranging in age from grade school to senior. The musicians are all volunteers who enjoy perfecting their music skills through Tuesday evening rehearsals and regular performances. The Band plays a wide variety of musical styles, all of which are designed to bring glory to Jesus Christ.
