Remington Ryde

Mountain Fever Featuring Remington Ryde Heats Up October at The Historic Masonic Theatre

Clifton Forge, VA (Oct. 2, 2018) - On Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 7:00 pm in the John E. Hillert Auditorium of The Historic Masonic Theatre, William Nicely and Mountain Opry debuts Mountain Fever and Remington Ryde.

Mountain Fever is a group of longtime local musicians and singers from various groups such as the Announcers, Milk and Honey, Moon Shine Express just to name a few. Their music consists of country, gospel, as well as bluegrass. The show is family-oriented and the special guests for the show are the Remington Ryde Band.
Remington Ryde is one of the hottest bands on the Bluegrass circuit today performing over 150 shows a year throughout the United States and Canada. The band just released their first major record on the Pinecastle Label. The band's distinct sound and old time flair can be attributed to the Bluegrass-rich area of Pennsylvania from which they hail and borrow their name. As the founding member and leader of Remington Ryde, Ryan Frankhouser's (guitar and lead vocals) showmanship and chemistry with the audience turns fans into family. Billy Lee Cox’ s banjo, humor, wit, and ever encouraging and uplifting approach to life clearly shows on stage and off. Jim Treat on bass and Stanley Efaw on mandolin will make friends of each and every audience member, and their overall down home good time love of bluegrass and bluegrass fans resonates on stage. This combination makes Remington Ryde one of the most popular bands among bluegrass fans today. In 2007, Ryan took a leap of faith by starting the Remington Ryde Bluegrass Festival at the age of 22 years old. The festival has become one of the fastest growing Bluegrass Festivals in the Country. The last four years the band has been nominated for eight SPBGMA Awards in Nashville, Tennessee including Entertainers of the Year!
