Clifton Forge, VA (June 11, 2018) - A cloudy sky turned blue as nearly 30 volunteers showed up bright and early on the steps of Clifton Forge Town Hall to donate their time to spruce up the Town on Saturday, June 9. Volunteers included members and leaders of Boy Scout Troop 2 in addition to Town citizens. The entrance corridors were free of litter and debris in less than two hours. Volunteers included: John & Debbie Strott, Bill & Mott Atherholt, Gayle Hillert, Ethan Hillert, Theresa Snead, Bryar Snead, Darren Honaker, Mason Honaker, Erik Honaker, Mason Crance, Maddox Crance, Winter Crance, Skip McMullan, Macyn Carter, Justin Kreft, Doug Houtz, Mayor Carl Brinkley, Heather Woody, Nancy Newhard, Matthew Dannis, Cindy Brokaw, Charles Kumar and Darlene Burcham. While cleaning up the Dollar Store parking lot, a customer bought each of the volunteers in the area a cold drink when he exited the store and saw the volunteers cleaning the parking lot.
