 | Buena Vista, VA (June 7, 2018) - Tristan Brown of Covington was selected as the 2017-18 Outstanding Scholar in Statistics, taught by Gary Appel, during the annual Jackson River Governor’s School Scholars Banquet held May 30 at Southern Virginia University in Buena Vista. Brown, who recently completed his junior year at Alleghany High School, will return to JRGS in the fall. JRGS is hosted by Dabney S. Lancaster Community College on the Clifton Forge campus.
