Clifton Forge, VA (April 17, 2018) - Research projects by these students who attend the Jackson River Governor’s School at Dabney S. Lancaster Community College were selected as the top six entries in the annual JRGS Science Fair. The students and their projects were, from left: Vanna Hoke, “Does Multitasking Affect Efficiency?”; Kaylie Hampton, “Effects of Eyesight on Perception of Optical Illusions”; Ian DeHaven, “Turning Down the Heat – Testing Effectiveness of Remedies for Spiciness”; Ethan Whitt, “Determining the Validity of Reverse Speech”; Brianna Baldwin, “How do Dogs React to Different Stimuli?”; and Madison Noel, “Can you Train your Brain?”. Brianna, Ethan and Ian all attend James River High School; Vanna and Kaylie are both Alleghany High School students; and Madison is a Covington High School student.
