|Motivational Speaker Scheduled at DSLCC Feb. 26|
Clifton Forge, VA (Feb. 12, 2018) - Success coach and author Nicole Conaway, founder of the â€śDare to be Different in a World Full of Copycatsâ€ť tour, launched in 2013, will be the guest speaker during a presentation in the Moomaw Center on the Dabney S. Lancaster Community College Clifton Forge campus on Monday, February 26, from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm.
The title of her presentation, â€śLearn Live Love to be Different in a World Full of Copycatsâ€ť, reflects her personal story.
Conaway has overcome many obstacles to become a high-energy motivational speaker. As a youth, she was diagnosed with epilepsy, struggled with low self-esteem, suffered with depression and was bullied.
After the birth of her daughter, Conaway decided to pursue her calling of speaking, and she has addressed thousands of individuals at colleges, high schools, conferences and churches, encouraging them to learn, love and love to be different. Conaway recently served as the guest speaker at the Student Leadership Conference of the Virginia Community College System.
She founded Turfitti STR, LLC, a success coaching and consulting business. Turfitti STR, LLCâ€™s mission is to inspire others to build a legacy worth following. During her tenure as a Success Coach, Conaway has encouraged students to determine their purpose. She intends for her compelling life story to be a testament of hope, healing power and celebration of perseverance, leaving the audience motivated.
Along with this event, DSLCCâ€™s two TRIO programs are sponsoring the First Annual First-Generation College Celebration to celebrate first-generation college students. Mix and mingle with other first-generation students, faculty and staff, both before and after the speaker.
