10 CHS Students Receive DSLCC Foundation Scholarships

| Clifton Forge, VA (June 15, 2017) - The DSLCC Educational Foundation has awarded more than $135,000 in scholarships to area residents, including ten graduating seniors from Covington High School. The students were presented their scholarships totaling nearly $15,000 at the CHS awards night on May 21st.
The CHS scholarship recipients include:
Rebecca Lynn Bantly, Mamie B. Hall Scholarship for Prospective Teachers and Katherine V. H. Perret & Horrace E. Perret-Gentil Scholarship; Tiffany Renea Burr, Merle Weaver Reid Schoalrship and Master Trooper Jerry L. Hines Scholarship; Madison P. Crosier, Carter Scholarship and Mark W. Lockhart Memorial Scholarship; Cheyenne Nicole Hosey, Jesse A. Wright Memorial Scholarship; Skylar Marie Long, Merle Weaver Reid Scholarship; Olivia Yvette Portillo, Mamie B. Hall Scholarship for Prospective Teachers and George R. Goode Memorial Scholarship; Maggie Amalia Smith, Merle Weaver Reid Scholarship and Marion & Cecil May Scholarship; Milton Jacob Switzer, Helen F. Dickson Scholarship; Savanna Ember Underwood, Ovella Worsham Educators’ Scholarship; Lilly Shy-Anne Wolfe, Curtis A. Smith, 116th Infantry, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1033 Scholarship.
